Montana State University - Bozeman

Established in 1927, Montana State University-Billings is committed to the value of lifelong learning. The University's 112-acre campus is located in Billings, Montana, which has a population of 100,000 residents. MSU-Billings has an average enrollment of more than 4,000 students, including approximately 400 graduate students. MSU-Billings mascot is the yellowjacket.

University of Montana
Established in 1893, the University of Montana's 200 acre campus is located in Missoula, Montana. UM has an average enrollment of more than 12,000 students, including 1,500 graduate students. Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning
McREL, located in Aurora, Colorado, is a private, nonprofit organization whose purpose is to improve education through applied research and development. McREL provides products and services, primarily for K-12 educators, to promote the best instructional practices in the classroom. Established in 1966, McREL maintains a staff of some 100 employees.

Northwest Regional Education Laboratory
A private, nonprofit corporation, NWREL provides research and development assistance to education, government, community agencies, business and labor. NWREL primarily serves the Northwest region of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. NWREL is part of a national network of 10 educational laboratories.

Connected Math Project
The Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) was funded (1991-97) by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to write a middle school curriculum for students and teachers. The website has been designed to help teachers, administrators, parents, and students learn more about this middle school curriculum. The US Department of Education announced CMP is one of five curricula to achieve exemplary status.

Science Education for Public Understanding Program
SEPUP is a diverse educational program highlighting science and its uses in the context of societal issues. SEPUP designs, develops, and disseminates science education materials—both year-long courses and modules—that promote scientific literacy and enhance the role of students as independent thinkers and active participants in science and society.
