From modern science and technical labs to intimate classrooms and a robust library, CDKC provides a full suite of academic environments designed to help students succeed. Our specialized labs — including computing, graphics, science, and photography — support both academic and vocational training. The Dr. John Woodenlegs Memorial Library gives students access to more than a million books (via the OMNI consortium), online databases, and a growing Cheyenne-heritage collection.

Classrooms and Instructional Spaces
Our main academic buildings host bright, accessible classrooms designed for small groups and personalized instruction. Students benefit from intimate class sizes and instructors who can offer individualized guidance.
Science and Technical Labs
Hands-on learning is central to our mission. CDKC maintains specialized labs for science, computing, technical graphics, and other applied fields. These spaces allow students to engage in experiments, build technical skills, and prepare for real-world careers.

Student Services Center
Located in the main building, the Student Services office offers academic advising, tutoring, placement testing, and study groups. Staff are available to guide students through academic planning and provide support at every stage of their educational journey.
Learning Skills Center
Students who need additional preparation in reading, writing, or mathematics can receive structured support through developmental courses and one-on-one assistance.
Dr. John Woodenlegs Memorial Library
The library provides students, faculty, and community members with materials for research, study, and leisure. An experienced librarian and staff provide reference assistance during library hours. Staff is also available for guided tours and library instruction.
The library has an automated circulation system that provides access to over 1,000,000 books from the OMNI consortium. Students are encouraged to utilize the interlibrary loan service for materials not available locally. Internet access is available in the library as well as access to several online databases. The library has a growing Cheyenne Collection as well as other valuable documents within the archives and the vertical file. The library owns a collection of videotapes, CDs, and DVDs, including some on Native American topics. Photographs of Cheyenne elders and paintings depicting Cheyenne leaders and historical events are displayed throughout the library.
The library maintains a balanced collection of periodicals in paper and online full-text formats. These periodicals are accessed using computers and several periodical indexes housed in the library.
The Dr. John Woodenlegs Memorial Library strives to meet the needs of Chief Dull Knife College through a balanced collection, a special Cheyenne Collection, reference service, and the latest in library technology. The library believes that CDKC deserves excellence in library service and the staff works hard to meet that goal.

Campus Bookstore
Chief Dull Knife College bookstore provides textbooks, school supplies, art supplies, miscellaneous books and a large selection of Native American Studies books and Cheyenne language CDs. Jackets, T-shirts, sweat pants and book bags are available with the college logo.
In addition, the bookstore serves as a gift store featuring local Native American beadwork and a variety of other crafts. A full array of necklaces, earrings, barrettes, watches, pins, moccasins and various art pieces are available.
Book Return Policy
Receipts are required for any exchange or refund. The date on the receipt and the book condition will determine if the book is returnable. A 100% refund will be granted if returned by the last day to add classes as stated in the Academic Catalog. Book buy-backs are available at the end of the semester (dates will be posted).

Cultural and Community Spaces
Culture is central to the identity of Chief Dull Knife College. Our campus includes spaces that honor Cheyenne language, history, and community life.
Cultural Center and Gathering Areas
Dedicated cultural spaces host language courses, cultural workshops, guest speakers, and community celebrations. These centers allow students to stay connected to Cheyenne heritage while engaging with elders, artists, and educators.
